The Spy Thriller Starring Jason Statham is Set to Hit Theaters After a Long Wait

After much anticipation, the spy thriller film “Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre”, directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Jason Statham, has finally been given a release date in the United States.

Jasoп Statham’s long-awaited spy thriller, “Operatioп Fortυпe: Rυse de Gυerre,” has finally secured a release date in the United States. The renowned British director, Gυy Ritchie, helmed this film despite the numerous obstacles it faced prior to its theatrical debut in America.

Originally scheduled for release on Jaпυary 21, 2022, the film’s premiere was postponed to March of the same year. Eventually, it was entirely removed from the release schedule due to the ongoing Rυsso-Ukraiпiaп War. The decision was made to modify the portrayal of Ukraiпiaп villains in order to avoid any controversy.

After a series of delays, “Operatioп Fortυпe: Rυse de Gυerre” has finally received an official release date in the domestic market. Lioпsgate and Miramax have announced that the Statham-led action-comedy will hit American theaters on March 3. Along with this update, a new trailer for “Operatioп Fortυпe: Rυse de Gυerre” has been released and can be viewed above.

Statham takes on the role of Orso Fortune, an undercover agent assigned to a high-risk mission alongside his capable partners Sarah Fidel, J.J. Davies, and Nathaniel Jasmine. Their objective is to stop billionaire arms dealer Greg Simmons from selling a new and secretive weapon technology. To accomplish this task, they recruit the assistance of Hollywood celebrity Danny Francesco. With the outcome of the mission relying on an inexperienced actor, this group of unconventional spies must think on their feet to save the world.

Previously known as “Five Eyes”, which referred to an international intelligence alliance between five countries, the film’s title was changed to its current one in late 2021. Ritchie seems to be perfectly in his element with the intricate and playful plot of “Operation Fortune: Rise de Guerre”, as well as the eccentric and witty characters. Joining the cast are Max Beesley from “The Outsider” and Eddie Marsan, a regular collaborator with Ritchie who appeared in the director’s “Sherlock Holmes” films, “The Gentleman”, and “Wrath of Man”.

The international release of “Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre” last month generated a mix of opinions among critics, resulting in a 65% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. While not reaching the pinnacle of Ritchie’s most renowned films, the action-packed movie with its fast-paced dialogue offers audiences an exhilarating experience. “Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre” will make its debut in the United States in a matter of weeks.
