Taylor Swift announces the grand finale of her historic Eras Tour in December

Apologies to Taylor Swift fans, but the singer has confirmed that her massive Eras Tour will not be extended into 2025.

During a heartfelt moment in her concert, Swift revealed, “For the first time, I am admitting to myself that this tour will come to an end in December.” She humorously mentioned how the tour has consumed her life, jokingly adding, “I used to have hobbies, but now all I do is sit at home trying to come up with clever acoustic song mashups and thinking about what you all might want to hear.”

Don’t worry, there’s still time to catch Taylor Swift live before the tour concludes.

Her acoustic set has become a beloved highlight in each city, with the singer first mixing songs together back in 2024. Swift still has around 30 songs from her extensive catalogue that she has yet to perform.
“You’ve gone to great lengths to be here with us,” she added. “You’ve made plans well in advance. You’ve chosen your outfit. You’ve memorized the lyrics. You’ve made your way here, figured out parking, transportation, and I want to take the 100th show to really appreciate that and live in the moment with you. Just know that I am grateful for every bit of effort you’ve put in to join us as we reach this milestone. So, thank you!”

In November 2022, Taylor Swift took to social media to reveal the exciting news of her upcoming tour titled “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour”, which promises to take fans on a journey through the various musical eras of her career. The tour will kick off in stadiums across the US for the first leg, with plans for international dates to be announced soon.

Initially planned for 27 concerts in a year, the overwhelming demand has now increased the number to 66 shows for the first year and 86 for the second year, spanning across 22 countries including the U.S., Mexico, Japan, and many more. Swift’s fans from all around the world can look forward to experiencing this musical extravaganza that covers 18 years of her remarkable music career.

With the upcoming album releases, music video premieres, surprise guest appearances, and the grand reveal of a brand new stage design for the “Tortured Poets” set in Paris, the tour has been constantly evolving and exceeding expectations. Swift has been shattering attendance records at stadiums worldwide, and fans from different countries have been showing their love in unique ways. A secret language of Swift-ese has emerged, with fans sporting friendship bracelets, creating custom concert chants like “1, 2, 3 let’s go b****” and “Where you going Taylor?”, and showcasing unforgettable dance moves. Thousands of fans tune in to livestreams every night, eagerly anticipating Swift’s wardrobe choices and special song mashups that go beyond the already substantial 46-song setlist.

Instead of going through traditional production studios, Swift collaborated directly with AMC to distribute her concert movie, bringing fans to their feet and singing along in theaters. The film can be streamed on Disney+. It is unknown at this time whether she will release another movie featuring the revamped show and added set.

Swift has completed just under a third of her 51 stops in Europe so far. When fall comes around, she’ll be making her way back to North America with stops in Miami, New Orleans, and Indianapolis in October and November before heading up to Canada. The final show of the year will be on December 8 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
