“Style Icon Cardi B Takes the Runway by Storm in L.A. Balenciaga Street Show with Bold Blue Faux Fur Coat”

On Saturday, the famous rapper strutted down the runway at Balenciaga’s pre-fall 2024 exhibition in Los Angeles.

Rapper Cardi B has achieved a major milestone by making her runway debut at Balenciaga’s pre-fall 2024 fashion show in Los Angeles. She was dressed in a bright blue faux fur off-the-shoulder coat with a bustier bodysuit underneath but the fluffy coat was the highlight of the show. Cardi looked stunning with a set of diamond studs, a diamond ring, and a flashy diamond chain with the brand’s logo around her neck. Her hair was slicked back and styled in a lengthy ponytail, while her makeup consisted of a bold dark red lip and a dramatic cat-eye look. The show took place on a shut-down street in the city’s Hancock Park area, with palm trees lining the road, providing an incredible backdrop for the models. In a lighthearted post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Cardi shared a photo of herself walking the runway, joking that she was on her way to Chic-fil-A. Notably, her husband Offset has also walked a Balenciaga catwalk before.

Cardi B made a statement at Balenciaga’s Fall 2024 show in L.A. with her bright blue faux fur jacket. The event was attended by big names such as Kim Kardashian, Salma Hayek and Nicole Kidman who were there to witness designer Demna’s unique take on L.A. fashion codes including activewear, grunge and eveningwear. The show also featured limited-release items including jewelry made in collaboration with Jacob Co. and clothing from organic retailer Erewhon. Kardashian, a longtime Balenciaga fan and ambassador, rocked the brand’s edgy vibes with a nude high-deck top, black Balenciaga logo jacket and black visor shades. Hayek added a pop of color to her black dress with neon pink heels and a neon pink bag, while Kidman opted for an all-black Balenciaga look with a double-breasted dress, tights, heels and gloves. Having just been named the newest ambassador for the brand, Kidman expressed her excitement to work with the brand and create more memories together.

Cardi B recently graced the runway during the Balenciaga Fall 2024 fashion show held in L.A. This marks the first public event by the brand since last year’s backlash over its “Gift Collection” campaign, which featured controversial imagery criticized for sexualizing children. Balenciaga issued a statement apologizing for any offense caused and filed a lawsuit against the production company handling the campaign. The creative director also apologized for the decision and pledged to learn from the incident and engage with child protection organizations.
