Recounting her emotional experience while witnessing the final episode, Gomez, who also served as an executive producer for the Netflix series, admitted that she was overwhelmed by the sight of it all unfolding before her eyes. She felt a deep connection to the show, considering that she has personally experienced similar situations herself. The project touched her on a profoundly meaningful level.
“When they began filming, I was actually going through a challenging phase in my life. I took a 3-month break and during that time, I had the opportunity to interact with numerous young individuals in a facility who were discussing the very same issues that the characters in the show go through,” she shared. The series revolves around a teenage character who tragically takes her own life, leaving behind a series of tapes that uncover the contributions of her peers to her demise.
“It was quite bewildering for me. I had absolutely no clue about my future identity or what I will ultimately evolve into,” she remarked. “I aspire to be involved in this endeavor, as I believe it aligns with their desires and addresses their necessities.”
Gomez is also in the process of creating fresh melodies, delighting her fans by recently giving them a sneak peek of an upcoming track.
