Scalpers Capitalize on Taylor Swift’s Melbourne Performances with Eye-Popping Ticket Prices as High as $2210 per Ticket

Scalpers are cashing in on the high demand for tickets to see Taylor Swift’s Melbourne concert, selling them for exorbitant prices that are marked up by a staggering 400 percent. Authorities in Victoria have already intervened and stopped the illegal sale of over 1000 seats for the Shake It Off singer’s upcoming shows in February. These tickets, which were initially purchased for $379, were being advertised online for a jaw-dropping $2210, $2065, and $1860 each. This surge in scalpers has alerted event organizers, who have made it clear that only authorized tickets will be allowed on the night of the concert. As of now, authorities have successfully shut down at least 1090 illegal ticket listings.
