Playing the lead role in the movie and its 2020 sequel sparked an idea in her mind. “I had a moment of realization. Men flock to see action franchises, so why not make more space for female-led action films?” Gadot shared.
She also discussed her character Rachel Stone, a role that she found to be unique compared to her previous characters in action movies. Stone, as Gadot described, is a complex figure, portraying a double agent for both MI6 and a mysterious global peacekeeping organization. “Rachel is full of contradictions. The clash between the plot and the character added depth to the film. I portrayed her as someone who desires connections but struggles to make them,” she explained.
