Cuddled in her mother’s embrace, Miley, aged 29, acknowledged that seat belts were irrelevant at that moment. Overwhelmed by fear, tears poured down her face.
“We were all a bit shaken up,” Miley expressed. She went on to mention her upcoming NBC New Year’s Eve special, indicating her plans to participate once again. “I tend to go with the flow, but it seems like I have a tradition now of knowing how to spend New Year’s Eve, and I appreciate having those boundaries,” Miley added.
Emergency Landing: “We found ourselves in a situation where we had to make an unplanned landing in the middle of South America. Ironically, I was on my way to a show, but it had actually been flooded and canceled,” Miley revealed.
Recognizing the importance of maintaining composure, Miley shared, “I understand the need to keep it together in order to perform on New Year’s Eve. It’s not always guaranteed that NBC will let me appear on live television, especially considering some turbulent years in the past.”

However, the process doesn’t stop there – once the fax is received, it is scanned and converted into a text message which eventually reaches Miley’s phone. Miley further explained that Dolly’s tech-savviness once extended to creating a demo tape where she spoke about being ahead of the curve, but even that was done through a cassette. The cassette was then converted into a voice demo on a flip phone, and finally transferred to an iPhone before it was sent to Miley.
During the interview, Seth inquired about Miley’s performance of Dolly’s hit song ‘Light of a Clear Blue Morning’ during her appearance on Saturday Night Live last May. Miley shared that the decision to perform that particular song was actually made last-minute by the show’s executive producer, Lorne Michaels. Surprisingly, after the performance, Dolly expressed her appreciation by sending Miley a fax, applauding her fantastic rendition.

These faxes are then scanned and transformed into text messages before being sent to Miley.
