The last time I checked, the most impressive aspect of a mermaid’s tail was her fins. Kylie Jenner certainly took this into account when she attended the Met Gala afterparty. She wore a sheer, sparkling turquoise dress that resembled a fish out of water, with feathers substituting for scales. To complete her Versace ensemble, Kylie accessorized with elegant Lorraine Schwartz drop earrings, perfectly complementing the netted purple dress designed by Donatella, which she wore on the red carpet alongside her sister Kendall. However, what caught our attention were Kylie’s shoes: PVC, peep-toe mules, which seem to be a staple in the Kardashian-Jenner wardrobe. These Femme LA heels are surprisingly affordable, priced at just $149. While purchasing a mermaid tail may not be on my agenda, I can certainly take a cue from Kylie and flaunt my own “fins” by strutting around the neighborhood, don’t you think?
