During an interview with The Guardian, when asked about the possibility of being a Bond villain, Statham responded with uncertainty and hesitation, stating that it was not his preference. He added that he would rather play the role of the hero or the good guy instead.
It seems that Jason Statham has no desire to play a villain in a James Bond film, although he did not explain why. However, he did express his excitement at the prospect of playing James Bond himself one day, responding with a resounding “absolutely” when asked about it. While he praised Daniel Craig’s portrayal of the character, Statham noted that if he were to take on the role, he would bring his own unique spin to the character.
