After their divorce in 2008, Rodriguez allegedly removed Scurtis’ name from some of the companies, barring him from receiving profits. Rodriguez countered by claiming that Scurtis took over $1M out of the partnership without authorization. Unfortunately, the Miami judge recently ruled that punitive damages can be added to the complaint, potentially causing A-Rod to provide financial compensation.
