Actress Gal Gadot, known for her role as Wonder Woman, recently shared some humorous anecdotes about her experience filming action scenes for the movie while she was pregnant with her second child. She remarked that she didn’t seek attention or special treatment, as she believes that women should be able to get the job done just like anyone else. However, she acknowledged that there is still a long way to go in terms of changing societal beliefs and expectations for both genders. One amusing detail she shared was that during the reshoots, the costume had to be altered to accommodate her baby bump, with a green screen added to cover her stomach. She found the situation quite hilarious, joking about how it looked to have Wonder Woman with a bump. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, where she also dons Wonder Woman’s iconic wristlets, Gal revealed that she was a tomboy while growing up in Israel, often getting scraped up from her rough and active play.

During interviews, Gadot has frequently discussed the success of Wonder Woman, which has garnered over $400 million in the United States alone and nearly $800 million worldwide. Reflecting on her childhood, she shared, “We didn’t spend our time watching TV. Instead, it was always about going outside and playing with a ball.” Gal recalled being a well-behaved student who aimed to please, all while embracing her tomboy nature. Her knees often displayed evidence of her adventurous spirit, adorned with wounds and scratches. Growing up in Rosh Ha’ayin, a quaint town in Israel, Gal and her younger sister were instilled with the belief that they were capable individuals who were deserving of self-worth.

Beginning her journey following her completion of two obligatory years in the Israel Defense Forces, she ventured into the prestigious Miss Israel pageant, an event she graced in the year 2004.

She recalls saying to herself, “I’ll just give it a shot. Maybe they’ll take us to Europe, and I can tell my grandchildren that I once participated in Miss Israel.” Little did she know, she would actually emerge victorious. Following this triumph, she found herself competing in the Miss Universe pageant. However, she had no desire to win the title. She explains, “It just wasn’t my thing. At 18, it seemed like too much responsibility. Ultimately, I lost, but I took pride in my defeat.”

It all began with a phone call from Zack Snyder. He asked me if I knew what I was auditioning for, and when I said no, he mentioned Wonder Woman. At that time, I had already tied the knot with my husband, Yaron Versano, who worked in real estate. We had discussed our future together, and I had even enrolled in law school.
However, despite my plans, fate had other ideas in store for me. I was unexpectedly thrown back into the world of entertainment when I received an offer to audition as a Bond girl. Initially, I was hesitant and told my agent that I couldn’t possibly join as I was already focused on my studies, plus I had no acting experience. Nevertheless, my agent urged me to show some respect and give it a try.
To my surprise, the audition paved the way for a role in The Fast And The Furious franchise, which ultimately led me to the iconic part of Wonder Woman.

Gal currently resides in Los Angeles with her family, including her two children Maya and Alma. Her upcoming film, Justice League, is set to be released on November 17. The director, Zack Snyder, contacted her regarding an audition for a role that he referred to as Wonder Woman, a character she was already familiar with due to its previous portrayal by Lynda Carter in the popular 1970s TV series. Gal also explained that she could relate to the struggles faced by her character, Diana Prince, as she has experienced instances where she felt mistreated by men in a sexist manner. Despite these challenges, her life in the entertainment industry has not always been without its difficulties.
