With her dark tresses styled in flawless ringlets, brushed away from her face to highlight her beautiful features and expertly applied makeup, Gal looked absolutely glamorous. Throughout the day, three crew members were seen attending to her makeup between shooting scenes on the set. Although she hadn’t yet transformed into the iconic Wonder Woman, Gal still looked stunning without her character’s famous and vibrant outfit.

While she has yet to transform into her superhuman alter ego, Gal will soon reprise her role as Wonder Woman in the highly anticipated sequel. In this fast-paced installment, she will face off against the villainous Cheetah. The film’s star-studded cast will not only film in London but also in Washington D.C. and the Canary Islands, promising action-packed scenes for viewers. Despite the disappointment of fans having to wait an additional seven months for the film’s release, they can take solace in seeing Gal enthusiastically working on the set. Interestingly, this new release date will coincide almost perfectly with the three-year anniversary of the original Wonder Woman film, which made its debut on June 2 of last year.

Gadot’s mention of the sequel’s “rightful home” holds some weight, as the first film made a substantial amount of money during its opening weekend in June. In fact, it raked in an impressive $103.2 million, eventually reaching a whopping $412.5 million domestically (making it the third highest-grossing film of 2017) and $821.8 million worldwide (landing it in the top ten highest-grossing films of 2017).

Gal Gadot reprises her role as Diana of Themyscira, also known as Wonder Woman, while Chris Pine returns as Steve Trevor. Joining them in the cast are Connie Nielsen as Diana’s mother, Hippolyta, and Robin Wright as Diana’s aunt, Antiope.
Adding to the lineup of cast members for the sequel are Kristen Wiig, portraying the character Barbara Minerva, also known as Cheetah, from DC Comics, and Pedro Pascal, best known for his role in Narcos, in a yet to be revealed role.
Patty Jenkins is back in the director’s chair for Wonder Woman 1984, which is currently being filmed. She is also co-writing the screenplay with Geoff Johns, known for his work on Batman v. Superman, and Dave Callaham, who has worked on The Expendables.
