Her long light brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail, and she wore a protective mask. Notably absent from the outing were Shiloh, age 16; Maddox, age 21; Pax, age 18; and Zahara, age 17, who is currently studying at Spelman College in Atlanta.

As a long-time UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, Jolie was appointed Special Envoy in 2012 and has been empowered to represent the UNHCR at the diplomatic level to address major refugee crises.
