The movie narrates the tale of Adam Clay, a man who resides in the barn of an elderly woman (Phylicia Rashad known for her role in “The Cosby Show”). He spends his time taking care of his bees and burying his past. When fraudsters ruin the woman’s life savings, Clay discloses his earlier life as a former member of a secret organization and employs his expertise to seek revenge. The film steadily builds up its action, culminating in a fantastic climax. The film’s universe has a unique “beekeeping” mythology, and if the opportunity arises, there is an entire world to explore in a potential sequel.

Yesterday, Ayer and Statham had a great connection during the filming of their latest movie. They are now planning to work together again in a new film called “Levon’s Trade,” which is based on a script written by Sylvester Stallone and adapted from Chuck Dixon’s novel. According to Ayer, they were so impressed with Stallone’s writing talents that they agreed to do another project together. They are currently in the process of putting together a team for the film. Statham expressed his gratitude to be a part of the film industry, saying that he still can’t believe he’s made it this far after starting from humble beginnings. He also joked about his bruised arm from all the action scenes he’s done.

He started his career in low-budget British crime films before becoming one of Hollywood’s most popular tough guys. According to the star of “Meg,” he did not follow a conscious path, but rather an instinctual one. Despite landing on some rungs and stepping on a few snakes, he stuck to playing to his strengths. He integrated the skills he developed in martial arts and aerial awareness into the action genre. Although his films are commercially successful, Statham is aware that his genre is often undervalued. He believes that people all over the world love action cinema, despite its lack of recognition in award ceremonies. He doesn’t feel bitter but is content with his great career.

Statham has been pushing for a separate category at the Oscars to recognize the hard work and risk-taking of stunt performers. As a fan of James Bond since childhood, he appreciates the physical stunts and spectacle that these talented individuals bring to the big screen. He believes that their unique skills deserve recognition and that it’s a huge oversight not to have a moment for them at the Oscars. Statham has a lot of respect for these hard-working individuals and thinks that they are an integral part of the exciting things we see in cinema. Despite his efforts, he jokes that he can’t seem to get a response from Barbara Broccoli on WhatsApp about the matter.

Even though Statham has appeared in popular ensemble movies like “Fast and Furious” and “The Expendables,” he isn’t interested in becoming a superhero. He jokingly says he doesn’t have the appetite for a costume with a cape and tights and prefers old school 80s action movies that inspired him like Stallone, Arnold, Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, and Eastwood. Statham cannot imagine any of these guys wearing a cape or mask and prancing around on wires. Although he has no animosity towards comic book films, he feels more drawn to a grounded kind of action. Statham likes being grounded and believes it adds an element to the crazy world that they are in, as he laughs and recalls some of the insane action sequences he has been involved in.
