Apologies to Swifties: Debunking the rumour of Taylor Swift appearing in Deadpool and Wolverine

Despite circulating rumors, it’s been officially confirmed that Taylor Swift will not be making a cameo appearance in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine sequel as Marvel character Dazzler. Fans had been speculating about the possibility of her appearance, but Entertainment Weekly has set the record straight. Looks like fans will have to wait a little longer to see Taylor Swift on the big screen.

Last year, Reynolds addressed the rumors with a sense of amusement, stating to the Vancouver Sun that he enjoys the gossip. He believes that people are eager to uncover what goes on behind the scenes in the entertainment industry. All the secrets and spoilers will be unveiled on July 26th.

Levy, on the other hand, remained tight-lipped when asked about the speculation, telling TheWrap that he had a “no comment” policy for both Taylor-related matters and MCU-related topics. He cleverly avoided giving away any hints and teased that fans will have to be patient and wait to find out the truth.

A lot of buzz started when Swift was spotted at an NFL game alongside Levy, Reynolds, and MCU actor Hugh Jackman last year. The upcoming movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, will feature the collaboration between Reynolds and Jackman’s iconic characters, making it the first Deadpool film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film is poised to make a mark in the MCU as the highest age-rated movie due to its R rating. Additionally, it has already set a record for the highest first-day ticket sales for any movie in 2024 before it has even hit theaters.

You can now catch Deadpool and Deadpool 2 on Disney+ for some hilarious superhero action. And get ready for more with the upcoming release of Deadpool & Wolverine in theaters on July 26.
