In a mischievous incident that occurred in August, the famous couple Cardi B, aged 31, and Offset, aged 32, fell victim to a swatting prank at their residence in Sandy Springs, Georgia. This incident shook the couple who has been in the spotlight for their music and personal lives. It is important to highlight that this unfortunate event took place last year, in September, when the couple was spotted in Newark, New Jersey.

In an incident captured on police bodycam and published to TMZ Monday, officers in the early morning hours of August 10 responded to the home of Cardi B and Offset in response to reports someone had been shot there

On August 10, police responded to a call at the residence of Cardi B and Offset after receiving reports of a shooting. The incident was captured on a police bodycam and later shared on TMZ. While investigating the scene, officers spoke with Offset’s uncle, Derrick Cephus, who was house-sitting for the couple at the time. He confirmed that no one else had been at the house recently. In order to update Offset, his uncle dialed him on speakerphone with the police present. Offset, clearly annoyed, dismissed the call as a fake, asserting that he and Cardi B were in Los Angeles and were not in any danger. Curious about the source of the report, Offset’s uncle inquired with the officers, who stated that they had a lead and would further investigate. After taking a report, the police left the premises. Unfortunately, Cardi B and Offset join the list of celebrities targeted by swatting hoaxes, where false reports of violent incidents are made to authorities in an attempt to elicit a response. Notable personalities like Pharrell, Nicki Minaj, Paris Hilton, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, and even the Playboy Mansion have fallen victim to similar hoaxes in the past.

Cardi B and Offset, who have two kids – a five-year-old daughter named Kulture Kiari Cephus and a two-year-old son named Wave Set Cephus – seemed to have ended their relationship last month. On New Year’s Eve, both Offset and Cardi B performed separately at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach. Later, Cardi B took to social media to share that she and Offset had a romantic encounter while celebrating the new year, but it didn’t mean they were back together. She clarified that they were not fully reunited yet, despite the one-time fling. In a tweet, Cardi emphasized that they are only together when she says so, not when others assume.
