A Stylish Affair: Lionel Messi’s Golden Ball Win and Chic Grooming Session in Miami

On Sunday while in Vice City, the victor of the World Cup who is 36 years old decided to capture a moment with his barber, Luis Andres Rivera, revealing his recent haircut. Throughout the photo shoot, he kept his hands comfortably tucked in his pockets.

Rivera posted on Instagram about Leo Messi, saying that he is getting ready for tomorrow when he will win his eighth Ballo d’Or. Rivera mentioned that Messi trusted him to make the biggest cut of his career and emphasized that the world will see it. Meanwhile, Messi was spotted resting in Naples, Florida, with his wife and bodyguard, but their three children were not with them. Messi has already won seven Ballo d’Or awards, which is a record as no one else has won more than five.

Earlier this month, the manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, expressed his opinion that both Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland, his star player, are worthy of receiving the prestigious award. As someone who previously trained Messi in Barcelona, Guardiola stated that the Ballon d’Or should be split into two parts: one for Messi and one for everyone else. Messi’s nomination marks his 14th appearance in the top three, setting yet another record. He previously won the award while playing for Barcelona and then again while playing for Paris Saint-Germain, and now he has the chance to win it while playing for Inter Miami. If he succeeds, this will be the first time an MLS player has received the award in this manner.

Jordi Alba, who has been playing with Messi for a long time and now plays for Inter Miami with him, expressed his enjoyment in playing and sharing moments with the legendary player. While Messi’s first half-season in Miami was mostly successful, there was one area where it fell short. However, they managed to win their first trophy, the League Cup, thanks to Messi’s leadership. He even showed humility by letting Yedlin, the previous captain, lift the trophy despite being the current captain. As a result, Inter Miami’s presence on soccer’s social media sites grew, and people started watching more games on Apple TV. Additionally, Messi’s No.10 jersey became the most popular item in MLS. He earns between $50 million and $60 million per season with Inter Miami because of the different revenue streams. Unfortunately, many fans were disappointed to find out that season tickets for 2024 are much more expensive.

However, illness and general wear and tear can take a toll, and Inter Miami’s numerous League Cup games likely exacerbated the issue. According to Messi, “It was really tough for us because we had to play every three days, travel, and train.” Unfortunately, Messi had to sit out many of the team’s later MLS matches due to a leg injury. While the club ultimately missed the league playoffs by a significant margin, it’s worth noting that they weren’t anywhere close to contention before Messi joined in July.

Preparations for the 2024 season are already underway and Inter Miami will begin training for two upcoming shows in China by early November. As the new year approaches, fans have high expectations for Inter Miami to win all of its trophies including the MLS Cup, the Leagues Cup, the U.S. Open Cup, and the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Recently, Messi expressed his excitement about spending the holidays in Argentina with his loved ones, enjoying December festivities like never before. He plans to return during the off-season, start afresh, and prepare for the best outcomes.
