Scarlett Johansson Channels Old Hollywood Glamour in New Dolce Gabbana Campaign

Scarlett Johansson, often compared to Marilyn Monroe, embraces vintage Hollywood vibes in Dolce Gabbana’s latest makeup campaign.

The behind-the-scenes video showcases the 29-year-old actress exuding classic beauty while promoting the Italian fashion house’s fall collection, which features the new Perfect Mono Intense Cream Eye Colour.

The campaign subtly homages to Monroe’s timeless allure, capturing Scarlett as she prepares and poses for photographs.

In the video, she wears a retro-style black polka dot dress, embodying modernity and old Hollywood charm.

Discussing the shoot with People magazine, Scarlett remarked that it felt like working on a small film. “The shoot was great, sort of like working on a little movie, which was unexpected but fun, sort of our tribute to Marilyn,” she said.

The shoot, set in Paris, also made the actress feel at home, as her fiancé, Romain Dauriac, is a French journalist.

Scarlett expressed her growing fondness for the city, saying, “We shot it in Paris, which is really like home to me now, and the more time I spend here, the more at home I feel.”

The campaign’s photographers, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott are renowned in the fashion industry, making them a natural fit for this collaboration with the Avengers star.

The overall concept was to create a modern yet classic look, keeping the nod to old Hollywood with a fresh twist.

In addition to the campaign’s vintage aesthetic, Scarlett’s participation in the shoot has personal significance, as she expects her first child with Romain Dauriac in the coming months.

Despite the impending significant life change, Scarlett’s radiant presence in the campaign reinforces her status as a contemporary icon with timeless appeal.
