It’s like a lifeline during difficult times, providing me with inspiration each time I step into the studio. Songwriting has been my saving grace, guiding me through challenging moments and helping me piece myself back together when I felt broken. It’s like a shot of revitalizing vitamins after each writing session. Reflecting on my work enables me to contemplate my purpose and identity, especially during rocky times. Despite the end of my relationship with Gerard, he remains their father, and our focus is on the well-being of our boys. We strive to find a fair resolution while maintaining their privacy. The breakup is a sensitive matter for me now, as I dedicated myself to my family and made sacrifices for my children’s sake. When Milan began school, I prioritized settling down in Barcelona to support Gerard and our kids, temporarily putting my career on hold. I always find ways to express my emotions and experiences through my music and videos – it’s like a form of self-expression for me.
On another note, you are currently facing allegations of tax fraud from the Spanish government. What motivated you to fight back instead of settling? I am determined to defend myself against these false accusations. Despite paying all taxes owed prior to any legal action, I have been targeted unfairly. I sought advice from a reputable tax firm to ensure transparency in my financial affairs. Despite the lack of evidence, the authorities are resorting to smear tactics. However, I am confident that justice will prevail in my favor. Every experience I encounter influences the lyrics I write, whether consciously or unconsciously.

The prosecutors allegedly delved into your social media and credit card activities to trace your movements across the country. During my time with Gerard, I was traveling the globe for tours, spending more than 240 days out of Spain, which didn’t meet the residency requirements. The Spanish tax authorities took notice of my relationship with a Spanish national and saw an opportunity to target me for financial gain. It was clear they were solely interested in my money. Despite my constant travels for work, even during pregnancy and caring for my son Milan, they persistently pursued me, knowing Spain wasn’t my main base. It seems crucial to you to have your day in court. Absolutely. It’s a matter of principle for me.
