During an appearance on Channel Nine's Today Show alongside American country music singer Thomas Rhett, Katy said she loves Australian people

While appearing on Channel Nine’s Today Show with American country music star Thomas Rhett, Katy expressed her admiration for the people of Australia. Recalling her experience in Cairns near Port Douglas, she shared a story of encountering a hairy spider the size of a large circle on her bedstand. Katy had to use her hoody to get rid of the arachnid, but that was not the only wildlife encounter she had while up north. She mentioned seeing a black snake and a mini octopus that can be deadly with just one bite. It was definitely a wild adventure for the I Kissed A Girl singer in Australia.

'I love touring there. You guys are like no other... you are all are just as kooky and wild as I am,' she said

“I absolutely enjoy traveling to Australia. The people there are truly unique and quirky, just like me,” she expressed. “But it’s important to be cautious, there are crocodiles in the beaches there. Australia can be quite dangerous.”

Host Lisa, who is 62 years old, playfully added, “Despite the dangers, Australia is still fabulous. Isn’t that right, Katy? Remember what they say, Katy?”

“Yep,” Katy replied with a smirk. “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Or you might just lose a limb.”

It comes after Katy told Lisa Wilkinson on Thursday's episode of The Project why she thinks Australia is so 'dangerous'. She said she and her partner Orlando had their fair share of run-ins with Aussie creepy crawlies
