Last week, Lil Yachty and ScHoolboy Q were amazed by Lil Wayne’s incredible record sales and the amount of money he has earned throughout his impressive career. The two rappers had a conversation on a recent episode of A Safe Place in late March, where they discussed the success of Weezy’s music. Yachty pointed out how even a bootleg CD that was leaked before the official release of Tha Carter III managed to sell a million copies. He reminisced about how he had a copy of the album months before it hit the shelves, jokingly mentioning how it was passed around in a friend’s Buick at the barbershop. Despite some criticism of Wayne’s rock music venture with Rebirth, Yachty praised his versatility and acknowledged that Wayne was a trailblazer in the music industry even before the rise of Drake.
