However, the new DC co-head remained resolute in his vision, making similar changes to other roles as well. According to the director, these tough choices were crucial in order to construct a superior DC Universe.
Dwayne Johnson, an illustrious star, faced a setback in his journey within the realm of James Gunn’s influence. He had invested significant time and effort into establishing his own niche in the DCEU with the portrayal of Black Adam. However, with the arrival of Gunn’s authority, Johnson’s aspirations were extinguished in an instant. It is safe to assume that The Rock will not be donning Black Adam’s attire in the foreseeable future.
But the alteration in management also led to Johnson bidding farewell to another remarkable DC character!
Instead of portraying Black Adam, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s first appearance in a DC film was supposed to be as Krypto the Superdog, the faithful and mighty companion of the iconic Man of Steel.
