Gal Gadot was a vision in pink as she attended the Palms Springs International Film Festival on Wednesday. Fans of the actress will be delighted to know that she will soon be teaming up with director Patty Jenkins for Wonder Woman 2. Jenkins, who directed the highly successful first film, has hinted that the sequel will be a completely different experience. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jenkins revealed that they are creating a film that is its own entity, rather than just a follow-up. She described it as a new adventure that she couldn’t be more excited to embark on with Gadot. The first Wonder Woman movie showcased Gadot’s portrayal of the iconic character, as she fought alongside Chris Pine’s character against the German army in World War I, after making her debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The creation of the iconic Wonder Woman character can be attributed to American psychologist William Moulton Marston and artist Harry G. Perry. This beloved superhero first graced the pages of comic books in 1941.

Director Patty Jenkins, while thrilled to introduce Wonder Woman to a new audience, has hinted at her desire to involve TV star Lynda Carter in the upcoming sequel. Carter portrayed the superhero on television from 1975 to 1979, making her an important part of the Wonder Woman legacy.

Jenkins expressed her admiration for Carter, describing her as a cherished mentor and dear friend. In fact, the filmmaker and her team were eager to include Carter in the first Wonder Woman film, but scheduling conflicts prevented it from happening. However, Jenkins remains hopeful that Carter will be able to join the Wonder Woman family in the future.

During the star-studded film festival, notable attendees included Jenkins, Jordan Peele, and Daniel Kaluuya.
