In the new trailer for The Mechanic: Resurrection, Jason Statham and Jessica Alba are seen carrying guns and dressed in revealing clothing. Unfortunately, this portrayal reinforces common stereotypes about action films. The pair are working together in the sequel to Statham’s 2011 movie, which was a redo of Charles Bronson’s 1972 classic.
In the upcoming movie, Alba portrays the character of an ex-lover of the action hero who falls prey to a kidnapping scheme to force Statham into carrying out three seemingly impossible assassinations. Check out the video below for more details.
In the newly released action-packed trailer for the Mechanic sequel Resurrection, we see a sizzling duo of Jessica Alba and Jason Statham. Alba can be seen wearing revealing attire while playing the role of Statham’s assistant in the movie. The trailer showcases their deadly partnership as they work together to kill targets without leaving any clues behind. Rhatha Phongam, who plays the character of The Courier, approaches Statham with an offer that he cannot resist. She tells him that each of his kills must look like an accident, which happens to be his specialty.
In the trailer, we witness Statham executing a hit that appears to be an accident. However, it’s a grand and conspicuous scheme that involves him scaling a towering building and crawling beneath a huge glass bottomed pool that hangs over the city from the rooftop.
As his intended victim takes a dip in the water, he proceeds to bore a hole in the pool’s floor. The resulting deluge of water and the arms dealer plunging onto the ground will likely be classified as an accidental death by the coroner.
Looks credible: The preview starts with Statham executing a job that is supposed to appear accidental, but the execution is surprisingly complex and overt.
Great fun: Once he had ascended to the summit of a towering skyscraper, he proceeded to traverse the underside of a massive, protruding glass-bottomed pool that overlooked the bustling metropolis below.
The floater manages to catch the target off guard, leaving them no time to react.
The scene depicts a ruthless hitman who executes his target by drilling a hole in the bottom while the victim is swimming, causing a fatal accident. In the movie, Alba contacts Statham via FaceTime and gives him 36 hours to eliminate three targets from a list. Failure to do so will result in dire consequences for Alba, who has been abducted by a group of mercenaries. The targets are rivals of an international arms dealer named Riah Crain (played by Sam Hazeldine), who seeks revenge against them. Crain declares his intentions to Statham, stating that he has been waiting too long to settle the score.
It seems like Jessica Alba will be flaunting her beach bod in the movie based on the sneak peek from the trailer. Expect to see her wearing a bikini for a good portion of the film.
In the movie “Boo,” there is a character named Baddie Riah Crain played by Sam Hazeldine. He tells Statham that he needs to get rid of his competitors, or else he will harm Alba.
The amazing digital portfolio has shown that Riah’s competitor is none other than Tommy Lee Jones, who seems to be imitating Ringo Starr. Interestingly, Tommy’s profile indicates that he was born in ‘Britania.’

A useful digital record indicates that one of Riah’s opponents is Tommy Lee Jones who imitates Ringo Starr in his profile, and even mentions that he was born in Britannia. Rather than eliminating him, it appears that Jason and Tommy form an alliance. Statham tells him, “I want to keep you safe from any mishap,” after breaking into his house.
Alba is far from being a vulnerable victim, as she displays her fighting skills by taking down a group of armed guards.
As the camera lingers on some unnecessary bikini shots, she swims away from it.
Alba is a true water baby, tough enough to swim without goggles. In the movie Mechanic: Resurrection, she showcases her strength by beating up an armed guard before taking a refreshing dip into the ocean. Jones asks what Statham has in mind, to which he replies with a grin that she will have to die. However, he quickly assures her that he has spent his whole life setting people up to die and now wants to set her up to live.
