Messi’s Son Mateo Showcasing Impressive Soccer Talent with Irresistible Charm

Lionel Messi’s son has demonstrated that he has inherited some of his father’s football skills, showing an impressive display in his garden at the age of four.

.

And it appears that his four-year-old son Mateo is just as talented in front of goal.
A recent video shows the youngster curling the ball into the top corner from distance before going on a darting run and producing a clinical finish.
The clip seems to have been taken in Messi’s backyard of his home in Spain, which houses a mini football pitch.
And Mateo has clearly been watching his old man at work, as he celebrates just like Messi after his first goal.

Messi Jr celebrates his goal, kissing both hands and raising them in the air. Mateo then heads towards the camera before putting his finger to his lips in a silent motion. His second strike is even more Messi-esque, as he dribbles the ball from the halfway line before firing low into the corner and then falling to the ground clutching his face as if he’s been crunched with a late tackle. One thing eagle-eyed fans will notice, however, is that Mateo is not a complete carbon copy of his dad, as he is predominantly right-footed.

Mateo mimicked his dad by pressing his finger to his lips, perhaps hinting at his potential as another world-class talent like Cristiano Ronaldo. Messi, his long-time rival, recently suggested that the pair should have dinner together, to which the Argentine responded positively.

Messi expressed to Sport, “Yes, I don’t have any problem with that.”

.

“I have always stated that I have no issue with him. We may not be friends because we have never shared a dressing room together, but I always see him at award shows and there is no problem.
“I don’t know if there will be a dinner because I don’t know if our paths will cross for obvious reasons, each one of us has our own life and our own commitments.
“But obviously, I would accept the invitation.”

Perhaps Mateo and Ronaldo’s son, Cristiano Jr., could join their fathers in a fun game of two-on-two in the garden to complete the evening’s entertainment.
